The PULSE! project is an initial three-year R12 million investment integrating holistic community health strategies across all operations of the Field Band Foundation and those of the partner Norges Musikkorps Forbund in Norway.

Funded by the Foundation’s longstanding supporter FK Norway, this programme recognises that health is a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing, rather than merely being associated with the absence of disease or infirmity.

In this work, participants from across the Foundation learn to understand how musical activities can be used to promote behaviour that brings positive, holistic, healthy outcomes to the lives of all members. This project works for the greater inclusion across the Foundation of people of both genders and all sexual orientations, and of people living with disabilities.
