PULSE! Stronger, together
The PULSE! project is an initial three-year R12 million investment in working to integrate holistic community health strategies across all operations of the Field Band Foundation and those of the partner Norges Musikkorps Forbund in Norway.
Funded by the Foundation’s longstanding supporter Fredskorpset Norway, this programme recognises that health is a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing, rather than merely being associated with disease or infirmity.
In this work, participants from across the Foundation learn to understand how musical activities can be used to promote behaviour that brings positive, holistic, healthy outcomes to the lives of all members. A strong part of this project is that of working to greater inclusion across the Foundation of people of both genders and all sexual orientations, and of people living with disabilities.
